The Desert Eagle .44 Magnum is a gas-operated pistol that is fed from an 8-round magazine. The .50 AE version is fed from a 7-round magazine. The particular pistol that I evaluated is an earlier version, made by Israel Military Industries (as marked on the left side of the receiver).
